<p>Ostern rückt mit großen Schritten näher und auch wenn der alljährliche Osterbrunch in großer Runde leider auch in diesem Jahr ins Wasser fällt, wird es höchste Zeit, sich zu überlegen, welch feine Köstlichkeiten man zum Osterfrühstück auftischen könnte! Wie wäre es mit ein paar fluffig-mürben britischen Scones? Mürbe und fluffig mag zwar wie ein Widerspruch klingen und doch ist es die perfekte Beschreibung eines guten Scones&nbsp;– denn er ist beides zugleich!</p>

<p>Lange Zeit habe ich den unscheinbaren und meist etwas krumm geratenen &#8222;Brötchenersatz&#8220; aus Großbritannien unterschätzt und sein Potenzial nicht erkannt. Dabei schmecken die kleinen Dinger wie die perfekte Mischung aus Keks und Brötchen und sind lauwarm zum Frühstück ein wahrer Hochgenuss! Das Geheimnis liegt darin, den Teig – ähnlich wie bei einer Pie – nicht zu viel zu bearbeiten und nur solange zu kneten, bis er sich gerade so zusammenfügt.</p>

<p>Ich mag meine Scones am liebsten ganz klassisch mit ein paar Rosinen – die könnt ihr aber natürlich auch weglassen, solltet ihr der rosinenhassenden Fraktion angehören! <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f609.png" alt="😉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Lecker finde ich sie auch mit ein paar Apfelstücken oder einfach ganz pur. Am allerbesten schmecken Scones noch warm aus dem Ofen, wenn die Butter langsam darauf zerschmilzt&#8230; mmmh!</p>
